AILET Photo Size, Signature Format and Other Details

AILET 2020 is conducted for admissions to B.A.LLB, LLM and PhD courses offered by National Law University Delhi. Application Process consists of Online Registration, Selecting the Law Course, Filling Personal and Academic Details, Uploading Scanned Images and Payment of Fees. Eligible candidates can Register for AILET 2020 from January 15 to March 31, 2020 on nludelhi.ac.in

All India Law Entrance Test 2020 is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2020. Here are few guidelines for candidates to process their application without any hassles:

  • Fill in all the details without any mistakes or typos.

  • Proofread the entire form before clicking on “submit”.

  • Click on preview before submitting, this will help to catch errors.

AILET 2020 Uploading Photograph and Signature

To upload photograph and signature in their correct format, follow these steps:

  • To upload passport-sized photograph, click on “upload photograph”

  • Once you click “choose file”, a new window will open with a direct path to your drive.

  • Click on browse and select the location where you have saved the images.

  • Click on “upload” to upload a photograph.

  • Once the photograph is accepted and successfully uploaded, the status under “Document upload status” will show as “Uploaded”.

  • In case, there is an error in the format or size, the image will not be uploaded and the status will show as “Not Uploaded”.

  • The successfully uploaded images will be shown in thumbnail view in the “Image” section on the right-hand side of the page.

National Law University Delhi has specific requirements with respect to photo size, signature specifications and document formats. It is important to keep all the documents ready before filling in the AILET application form.

AILET 2020 Photo Specifications

Uploading scanned photos to process AILET application is mandatory. Candidature for AILET will lead to disqualification if the photograph does not match with the one given in ID. The same image will be provided in the AILET 2020 Admit Card which has to be duly carried to the Exam Center. The photo specifications details are as follows:

AILET 2020 Signature Specifications

Candidates are required to upload their hand drawn signatures during the process of AILET application, along with their photograph. The signature should be clear and sharp without any mistakes or cancellations. It is advised to use either black or blue coloured pen only. Any kind of discrepancy in terms of clarity or mismatch will lead to disqualification of the candidature. All the required details are listed below:

Scanning Photograph and Signature for AILET 2020

A detailed guide will help candidates to scan the passport photograph and signature for AILET keeping all the instructions in mind. The candidate should follow these guidelines to get clear and sharp scans:

  • The quality of the image should not be poor; pixelated images should be avoided.

  • Both photograph and signature should not exceed 150 kb or else it will fail to proceed with the application.

  • Make sure the formats are either of these ­¾ JPG/GIF/BMP ¾ before uploading.

  • The file extension should show any of the following: “.jpg”, “.gif” and “.bmp”.

  • Candidates can use MS Windows to crop the image size to achieve the desired sized images.

AILET 2020 Image Uploading Do’s and Don’ts

It is crucial to fill in and attach correct and requirement appropriate images, as there will be only once opportunity given to the candidates to correct any mistakes in the application form. The correction of application form is usually conducted in the third week of March.

  • The passport photograph should be clicked by a professional photographer or using a professional camera.

  • Photographs that are clicked by using a mobile phone should not be uploaded.

  • Both the signature and photograph should be clearly visible, without any pixels in them.

  • The photograph should cover 75% of the candidate's face; the candidate's eyes should also be clearly visible.

  • Candidates should avoid clicking photograph wearing tinted glasses; reflection of flash in spectacles should also be avoided.

  • Uploading passport photographs with red eyes or covered eyes should be avoided.

  • Use a ball pen on thick white paper or light-coloured paper to avoid leaking/feathering of ink on the paper.

  • The signature should be clearly visible and should be identical to the rest of the candidate’s other documents.
