All India Law Entrance Test is an annual exam conducted by NLU, Delhi. It is a gate pass for granting admission to eligible candidates in to UG, PG and Doctorate courses. 2021 session of AILET will be conducted in the first week of May 2021 . The examination authority will tentatively issue AILET Admit Card in the 4th week of April via online mode through the website. Applicants will only be able to download their respective admit cards on entering the registered ID and password.

The postgraduate paper entrance paper consists of both objective and subjective type of questions. There are two sections in LLM paper: 100 objective questions on legal aptitude and 1 Essay type of Question. 100 marks are alloted to 100 MCQ questions while Essay carries a 50 marks, bringing the total to 150 marks.
Compared to UG and PG courses, exam pattern for PhD entrance in NLU, Delhi is quite different. It consists of 2 sections, First level will be an objective test based on Research Methodology and Legal Aptitude sections. The entrance test will be qualifying in nature, candidates clearing the minimum required AILET Cut off will be required to submit their Research Proposal on the desired topic.
