Delhi University (DU) released a notification on June 15, 2020, stating that Open Learning students can submit their answer sheets through emails in case of emergencies.
In a recent notification, Delhi University further clarified the procedure to be followed for Open Book Exams. This is pertaining to first and second-year students of Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) as well as School of Open Learning (SOL).
Meanwhile, registrations for DU Admissions 2020 are about to begin from June 20, 2020. This time, DU has discarded group discussion for PG admissions 2020.
DU Open Book Exams 2020: Procedure to Submit Answer Sheets
The recent notification by DU clearly states the alternative method to follow while downloading question papers or uploading answer sheets using the prescribed method.
In case the exam portal of DU fails, students can send their answers sheets through emails to the concerned exam boards.
The notification by DU reads as, “If for any reason, the candidates are not able to upload the scanned images (PDF format) for their answer sheets on the portal after the completion of the examination, the same can be sent in PDF format at the designated email address of SOL and NCWEB as the case may be.”

How to Avail/Download DU Open Book Exam 2020 Question Paper?
At the time of examination, the question papers will be available on DU’s website. In case the students are unable to download them through the portal, separate alternative methods are available for SOL and NCWEB students.
While SOL students have to access them through the dashboards, NCWEB students have to either email or WhatsApp on request.
The university has arranged for these alternatives, however, in such emergencies, question papers will be available 5 minutes before the examination commences.
Amid all the backlashes faced by DU from students and faculty alike, decisions regarding OBE remained unchanged.
In the face of COVID-19 outbreak and nationwide lockdown while most universities found alternatives to exams, some took to promoting students even without examinations.
