As per latest update, DU colleges are planning to accommodate more students, while the UG admission process is underway. Delhi University Admission 2021 is currently ongoing for the undergraduate courses, while the admission procedure for the postgraduate courses is over.
However, some of the affiliated colleges of Delhi University have decided to begin courses in new areas keeping in line with the new National Education Policy 2020 suggestions. It has been notified that Hansraj College is all set to increase around 70 to 80 seats in its BA program. The college is also introducing two new courses with 30 seats each in the BA (Honors) Journalism and Mass Communication and BA (Honors) Music.

Located in the South Campus of DU, Sri Venkateswara College is planning to commence two masters level courses from this year, MA English and MA Hindi. Meanwhile, three other colleges namely, Jesus and Mary College, Bhagini Nivedita College and Motilal Nehru College have decided to begin a BA Programme in Physical Education.
However, the aforesaid colleges have sent their proposals and are yet to receive the approval from the Delhi University. It can be noted that the proposals are expected to be discussed in the Academic Council meeting, which is to be held soon.
Located in East Delhi, the Shyam Lal College is planning to start BSc (Honors) Botany, BSc (Honors) Computer Science and BSc (Honors) Operational Research. Further, the Janki Devi Memorial College has decided to begin three UG courses: BSc (Honors) Computer Science, BSc (Honors) Operational Research, BSc (Honors) Statistics.
Other courses which have been planned by DU colleges are BSc (Honors) Operational Research and BA (Honors) History by Ramanujan College. BSc (Honors) Computer Science and BSc (Honors) Operational Research, by Dyal Singh College (Evening).
Moreover, Deshbandhu College is all set to launch BA (Honors) Philosophy, while Bharti College has decided to begin B.Sc (Honors) in Computer Science and Zakir Husain College is planning to BA (Honors) Sanskrit from this year.
Before approving the proposals sent by the DU affiliated colleges, a team from the Delhi University will visit and inspect the infrastructural facilities and other facilities at these colleges.
