New Delhi: The All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA) has called for central universities and participating state universities to participate in unified CUET UG and PG counselling.

CUET UG Admission 2022: Students Organization Demand Common Counselling for UG, PG Courses

The registration procedure for undergraduate courses has begun at universities that admit students based on their performance on the CUET 2022

Students will have to register and submit separate payments for each participating university on the admissions portal.

As paying the cost for each university will have a significant negative impact on poor and underprivileged students, the students' organisation has made a request to the Union Education Minister and Chairman of the University Grants Commission to have uniform counselling for all universities.

The AIOBCSA tweeted that they demand to conduct a common CUCET UG and PG counselling for central universities and participating state universities.

Poor and underprivileged students will be severely harmed by having to submit separate applications and pay different application costs to each university, the AIOBCSA said.

It has been claimed that the CUs' independent admissions process has drawbacks. AIOBCSA stated that beginning UG and PG classes requires another one and a half months of time-consuming process.

There will be chances of students withdrawing from their courses if they get admission to a better University or course, AIOBCSA revealed.

The registration process for the undergraduate programmes has been announced by central universities like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central University of Haryana (CUH), and Allahabad University

Students at these institutions are required to pay a separate fee and the registration price for the CSAS portal of DU is INR 250 for students in the General Category and INR 100 for students in the Reserved Categories (OBC, SC, ST, and EWS).

Earlier, September 15, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CUET UG Results, following which various universities started the registration procedure.

Over 15 lakh students took the CUET UG exam, and they will be applying for various UG programmes at all of the participating universities since over 90 of them have said they will admit students based on their performance on the CUET 2022 score.
