Considering the manner in which the spread of coronavirus is wreaking havoc in the country, it is likely that the JEE Main 2020 April may get postponed again. In fact, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal have received several requests from students to postpone the engineering examination again.

#postponeJEE’ is trending on twitter. Under it, the reasons the students have mentioned for cancelling the examination are mostly related to the pandemic.

Some of the students have tweeted that holding the JEE Main in July would risk thousands of lives, including students and their parents. The students also requested the authorities through social media to not hold the examination until the number of coronavirus cases in the country drops to zero.

Many students said that they were unable to concentrate on their studies due to the tense situation that is prevailing, and the fear of contracting the virus during the examination.

All the examination authorities have rescheduled all the entrance examinations, semester examinations and other internal examinations due to the rising number of coronavirus cases, and the JEE Main is also one of them. As of now, it is due to be held from 18 to 23 July.

The National Testing Agency made the JEE Main application form available to candidates from 19 to 24 May. The JEE Main 2020 Admit card is also due to be released by 4 July.
