The Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) will be granting an extra year to students to complete their pending degrees.
Earlier, the CCSU students were given a tenure of 4 years to complete a 2-year degree and similarly, 6 years duration was provided to complete a 3-year course. From this year onwards this completion time is extended by an additional one year.

Students will have to fill an online form to obtain this relaxation and the last date to fill the form is August 20, 2020.
As per the official notice released, "Students completing the relaxation period of one year in June 2020, will have to pay INR 5,000 and if the relaxation period of 2 years is completed in June 2020, then students need to pay INR 10,000."
Following the UGC guidelines to conduct the final year exams for UG and PG courses by September 30, 2020, CCSU has scheduled the examinations from August 20, 2020.
However, some students and parents refused to accept the UGC guidelines and also filed a petition in the Supreme Court, in response to while UGC views the examinations as necessary for the student's future.
