Union Education Minister had conducted a live session with Kendriya Vidyalaya students during which he confirmed that CBSE Board Exams 2021 will be conducted on the reduced Central Board Senior Secondary Examinations (CBSE) syllabus but National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 will be based on the full module. PIB has also issued a declaration, details provided below.
Exams for CBSE Class 12th 2021 as well as 10th class will have the advantage to appear for exams with the reduced syllabus. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has declared that CBSE Board Exams 2021 will be conducted on the basis of the revised CBSE syllabus.
During this pandemic, students had raised their concerns to the CBSE board to reduce the unnecessary portions in the syllabus for board exams. Subsequently, as a one-time measure, the council has agreed to reduce the number of application-based questions and increase the multiple-choice questions.
Further, the CBSE Class 12 question pattern will include existing portions in the syllabus. Meanwhile, offline classes have commenced in many states for board exam preparation from the month of December 2020.
NEET 2021 Syllabus Remains Unchanged
As per the latest updates, there is no relaxation given to NEET 2021 syllabus and the entrance exam will be conducted as per the usual curriculum. Thus, students appearing for NEET 2021 will have to prepare for the whole course.
Many aspirants have sought the help of social media to appeal to the council for a reduction in the syllabus as they did not have the chance to attend the offline classes as the CBSE students have. This makes it more difficult for them to prepare for the national level medical entrance exam.
For now, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal held a live session with Kendriya Vidyalaya students on January 19, 2021. During the session, the minister announced that NEET exams will be held on full syllabus including the portions reduced in the wake of a pandemic. However, students preparing on the reduced syllabus may not worry as there will be ample internal choices.
NEET 2021 Exam dates are yet to be released by the National Testing Agency. Candidates preparing for the NEET 2021 with no choice have to cover up the entire syllabus of NEET 2021. To clarify the same, Press Information Bureau (PIB) Delhi has issued a detailed notification to clarify on the recent revision and declaration on the syllabus of NEET and JEE 2021.
