The Convenor Professor Harshal Lowalekar has confirmed that the official website of CAT is expected to go live today i.e. July 29, 2020. He has also confirmed that the important dates related to CAT 2020 will be mentioned on the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in. The CAT 2020  entrance exam will be conducted by Indian Institute to Management, Indore.

Earlier there were media reports stating that the CAT website would go live in the first week of August 2020. While in the previous year, the official website of CAT was launched on August 7, 2019, and on the same day the registration process had begun.

No Change in CAT 2020 Exam Pattern

In view of the COVID-19 Pandemic, there were speculations among the aspirants that there might be a change in the way the management entrance examination would be conducted. However, the confusion was cleared by CAT Convenor Professor Harshal Lowalekar confirming that it is unlikely that there will be any change in the paper pattern of CAT examination. He further added any decision for adopting a change in the CAT paper pattern   would be taken only at a later stage after reviewing the situation of the novel coronavirus.

The Official Website of CAT 2020 will consist of brief information about the examination process, starting from the release date of the application form to the declaration of CAT result. Harshal Lowalekar, Faculty for Operation management and QuantitativeTechniques at IIM Indore had been appointed as the convener for CAT Examination. He also confirmed that the management entrance exam will be conducted in the last week of November 2020.

CAT 2020 Application Fee

The application fee for CAT 2020 will be released after the release of the registration form on the official website. Candidates will get to know the fee on the basis of the category in which they belong. In 2019, The application fee for CAT aspirants belonging to the General Category was INR 1,950.
