- Do Not Forget CAT Admit Card!
You will not get entry inside the exam hall without your admit card, so it is extremely important to keep it with you while going to the exam center. Print a copy, and save a soft copy of CAT Admit Card onto a cloud platform like Google Drive, EverNote or email it to yourself or a close friend. That way, even if you forget your admit card you can just go to a xerox shop near the exam center and get it printed.
- Adopt Pomodoro Method
This is a way of studying that reduces burnout and fatigue, especially now that CAT 2020 is creeping around the corner. Basically, you have to study for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. This is the time for prioritization. Consolidate your topics, and focus on the topics that you are good at and improve your accuracy. If you try learning new concepts and methods, you might confuse yourself so it is recommended that you stick to your strengths.
- You need to start solving Mock Tests, like yesterday
An often repeated mistake of the candidates is to procrastinate and solve mock tests on the very last week before the exam. Even if you have some preparation left, you should solve some sample papers and mock tests for CAT. This will make you aware of your weak points and strong points. - Pamper Yourself in a Healthy Manner
This is an often overlooked part while preparing for CAT. The exam may be over, and regardless of whether you clear the cutoff or not you need to take care of yourself. Do not overexert yourself. Take some time off occasionally, eat and sleep well, and take a walk or do something that makes you happy.
- What to do about Procrastination for CAT preparation?
Procrastination comes naturally with exams. It is the brain's response to anxiety. The best way to deal with procrastination is to attack the root cause of it, the anxiety. Start writing a journal about your thoughts and feelings. If there is severe anxiety or you are prone to panic attacks, it is best to consult an expert.
