In the Bachelor of Commercial Music from?Massey University, you will:

There are three majors: music practice, music technology, music industry.

Music practice

Develop your performance skills in your choice of instrument, voice, computer or digital interface. Study composition and arrangement, keyboard skills and song writing, and gain knowledge in studio recording. All content will be firmly based in popular music, covering a wide range of genres and approaches to learning. We focus on original music.

Music technology

Get hands-on with studio engineering, live sound and lighting, software, hardware and media production. Once we know you have the basics, you will be designing and building your own instruments and applications.

Music industry

Learn about label development, publishing, artist management, and future industry trends. Develop your skills by project managing live music for concerts, tours and festivals.
