Students will have the chance to investigate their individual interests and talents, engage in independent thought about music and critically analyze the theories and practices that influence their discipline.
The Master of Music is a 120-point degree. Depending on their area of specialization, the assessment requirements for the Master of Music are as follows:
- Performance a 60 to 90-minute concert recital and accompanying written thesis
- Composition a written thesis and portfolio of compositions
- Musicology a thesis on an approved topic
- Studio Pedagogy a combination of practical and written components with an educational focus
