The BSc in Computer Science is a full-time four-year degree course that encompasses all aspects of computer systems (both software and hardware) and ICT (information and communication technology), including software development, database technology, computer networks, operating systems, algorithm security, and web technology and applications.The BSc in Computer Science has four streams, who all share a common intake and Year 1.In Year 1, you will study a variety of key computer science topics such as web development, database systems and computer system organisation that lay the foundation for later years.In Year 2, you will choose from four streams, each targeting a different niche in the IT landscape.

- BSc in Computer Science (Web Systems Engineering) ? specialised variation with a greater focus on web-specific applications and technologies
- BSc in Computer Science (Software Entrepreneurship) ? a 50/50 blend of computer science and business/economics
- BSc in Computer Science with Chinese ? a 50/50 blend of computer science and Chinese studies
All four streams share a core of computer science modules that cover fundamental themes so all graduates are equipped to design and develop complex software applications and understand the key technologies that underpin such applications. They also include paid work placement in the IT industry in Year 3, and a substantial individual project in Year 4 supervised by a member of staff
