Programme Aims & Learning Outcomes

(1) To ensure the all-round education and development of?graduates;

(2) To develop graduates who can contribute to the operations and management of a hotel, food service, tourism, events, convention and exhibition, and/or related service business or organization in an efficient, effective and sustainable way;

(3) To offer a multidisciplinary education, which will equip students with the professional knowledge and skills needed for a broad range of complex, managerial and specialised work activities in the hotel, food service, tourism, events,?convention and exhibition industry; and

(4) To develop graduates who can significantly contribute to total quality service delivery to hotel, food service, tourism, events, convention and exhibition, and service-related customers.

After completing the first year in the Broad Discipline programme, students must choose a Major programme of study, either the BSc(Hons) in Hotel Management or the BSc(Hons) in Tourism and Events?Management. The decision to admit a student to either programme in Year Two will be made by the School based on the student's choice,?academic performance in Year One, and/or interview results.

Students graduate with the degree of either BSc(Hons) in Hotel Management or BSc(Hons) in Tourism and Events?Management.
