Whether in mechanical and plant engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or the chemical or steel industries: mechanical engineering specialists are in just as high demand here as in process engineering and environmental engineering. As such, development engineers undertake a wide range of activities.
Students will be developing cars, planning a factory or designing a maize chopper – they will provide students with the necessary skills in construction design, simulation technologies and robotics, materials, and production processes.

Students must have completed a 10-week pre-study placement. They still have a maximum of four weeks left to complete, this time must be made up for at the earliest opportunity.
Suitable proof must be presented by the time lectures begin in the third semester. Relevant apprenticeships and employment count towards the work placement.
Students plan to do an apprenticeship within a dual study program, no pre-study placement is required.
