MSc in Paper Science and Technology – Paper Technology and Bio-based Fiber Materials at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
The program starts in the winter semester/summer semester.
It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
The program is taught in German and some courses are taught in English.
This program deepens the mechanical engineering skills acquired in the Bachelor’s degree program and enhances them with chemical knowledge about the industrial production of paper.
The program caters to the student’s personal preferences by offering numerous electives and areas of specialization.
During the program, it is possible to do the internship abroad, as well as spending entire semesters at partner Universities in foreign countries.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or an equivalent degree.
Students with any other background including science are eligible to apply.

Language Requirement:

Students must pass the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH-2) as evidence that student's spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs for which the language of instruction is German.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution

Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education and list of grades and subjects in the original language, and a certified translation (certified copies).
School Leaving Certificate – School-leaving certificate in the original language and a certified translation (certified copies) is required.
Language Proof – Proof of students’ language skills (certified copy).
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
