MSc in Materials Science at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
The program starts in the winter semester/summer semester.
The program focuses on functional materials such as energy materials, magnetic materials, or electronic materials and their synthesis and characterization.
The courses are based on theoretical materials science include quantum mechanics, non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and continuum mechanics.
The master's program is taught in the English language.
The courses focus on structure, synthesis, analysis, and properties of structural and functional materials such as ceramics, inorganic and organic semiconductors, thin films, energy materials, metals, or nanomaterials.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete a Bachelor's degree in related subjects such as physics or chemistry from a recognized university.
Students must have passed the entrance examination in three subjects.
The entrance examination may be waived if suitability can be proven beyond doubt, particularly by producing a BSc in Materials Science of the Technical University of Darmstadt or an equivalent degree.
Students must have a recognized industrial internship, of a minimum of six weeks to be completed at the latest at the time of starting the Master’s Thesis.

Language Requirement:

Students must pass the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH-2) as evidence that student's spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs for which the language of instruction is German.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education and list of grades and subjects in the original language, and a certified translation (certified copies).
School Leaving Certificate – School-leaving certificate in the original language and a certified translation (certified copies) is required.
Language Proof – Proof of students’ language skills (certified copy).
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
