Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete a Bachelor's degree in related subjects such as physics or chemistry from a recognized university.
- Students must have passed the entrance examination in three subjects.
- The entrance examination may be waived if suitability can be proven beyond doubt, particularly by producing a BSc in Materials Science of the Technical University of Darmstadt or an equivalent degree.
- Students must have a recognized industrial internship, of a minimum of six weeks to be completed at the latest at the time of starting the Master’s Thesis.
Language Requirement:
- Students must pass the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH-2) as evidence that student's spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs for which the language of instruction is German.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution
