MSc in Energy Science and Engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
The program starts in the winter semester/summer semester.
The program offers various specializations with a strong focus on energy.
Students will gain a broad technical knowledge in the field of energy:
- Renewable Energies
- Conventional Energy Technologies
- Energy Conversion, Storage, and Use
- Basic Technological, Ecological, Economic, and Societal conditions
- Resource Situation and Climate Development.
During the program, students get the opportunity to study abroad.
In this program, students will be guided towards a scientifically oriented professional life in the areas of energy research and energy technology.
Successful graduates of the program will be technically versatile and will be able to independently tackle new problems in research, industry, and management.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must complete a bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 18 ECTS (Credit Points) in Mathematics and a minimum of 24 ECTS in Engineering or Science.
The related fields include a UG degree in computer engineering, engineering science, computational mathematics, applied computing, applied mathematics, computer information systems.

Language Requirement:

Students must pass the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH-2) as evidence that student's spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs for which the language of instruction is German.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from an accredited institution

Resume/CV - This provides a summary of a student's experience and skills.
Higher Secondary School Certificate - The certificate provided by the education board after completion of the Higher secondary education and list of grades and subjects in the original language, and a certified translation (certified copies).
School Leaving Certificate – School-leaving certificate in the original language and a certified translation (certified copies) is required.
Language Proof – Proof of students’ language skills (certified copy).
English Language Requirement - This shows the test score of English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE, etc.
