History can be studied as part of the combinatorial Bachelor of Arts (BA) course at the University of Wuppertal. Through the partial study, students acquire a basic scientific qualification in the most important epochs, subject areas and methods of historical science as well as practical core competencies in research, criticism, presentation, mediation, writing, time management, etc. Chairs and professorships exist for all historical epochs (old, middle, newer and recent history as well as - a special feature of the Bergische Universität - history of science and technology).
