Trier's German studies offer a wide range of courses that, in addition to the traditional subject areas of German Linguistics, Older German Philology and Modern German Literature, open up many other possibilities for differentiation. All courses aim to teach critical and reflective use of language and literature and to promote independent academic work. The course thus creates the prerequisites for successful professional activity in all those areas that require profound linguistic competence in education and teaching (school, university) or in culture-promoting institutions (theater, Literary houses, museums, etc.).
