• Physics looks at processes in nature and tries to describe them as precisely as possible. Physics is based on experimental observation, i.e. the description of natural processes under precisely defined, reproducible conditions. 
  • Based on this, knowledge is gained by creating theoretical models for the quantitative description of the observation. Here physics uses the language of mathematics.
