The course Embedded Systems was newly established for the winter semester 2016/17 and replaces the previous Bachelor in Computer and Communication Technology. Insulin pumps, dishwashers, DVD recorders, solar systems, high-speed trains and modern sewing machines all have something in common: they work because they usually have several small computers working in them. Although they do not have a keyboard or screen, they are still controlled by countless programs - "embedded", the expert calls it. There are already more embedded systems than normal computers. They have to be programmed correctly. The six-semester Bachelor's degree with the Bachelor of Science B.Sc. offers a well-founded theoretical and practical training in all areas that are necessary to understand the technical challenges of embedded systems and to develop innovative practical applications from them.
