• The consecutive master’s degree in media studies aims to develop the basic knowledge and skills acquired in a research-oriented bachelor’s degree with a media-science focus on subject-specific subjects
  • Targeted expansion of theories, methods, analysis and design criteria of the subject and deepening in the direction of more complex subject-specific questions and greater research proximity. The further examination of theoretical models, historical and sociological perspectives forms the basis for a well-founded reflection and contextualization of past and present media phenomena. 
  • The students are given more freedom to largely organize their studies themselves and to set their own priorities - in particular by integrating compulsory elective modules from the fields of media culture or media economics or economics - in order to open up the possibility of individual profiling.
