The communication studies subject is primarily concerned with the functions and effects of public communication. The main focus of communication science at the IFK is the public, recipient research, media change, communicator research and journalism research. The study of communication science imparts methods, knowledge, and skills that qualify for independent reflected and responsible work in media and communication professions as well as in applied and university research.
