- Geophysics uses physical methods to study the earth and near-Earth space.
- The main focus of this course is on the physical properties (internal structure and composition of the earth, gravitational and magnetic fields) and the fundamental dynamic processes (earthquakes, volcanism, plate tectonics, dynamics of the oceans and the atmosphere).
- The research-oriented MSc course mainly deals with content from the areas of geodynamics, seismology and applied geophysics and thus reflects the main research areas of the institute.
