The international master's program in Horticultural Science is a cooperation between the Technical University of Munich, Universit? degli Studi Bologna, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Humboldt Universit?t Berlin and Corvinus University of Budapest. The program combines content relating to the natural sciences, technology, and economics.

The core program comprehensively covers the area of horticultural production. Modules cover various methods of plant production and plant based nutritional substances, from the laboratory to the field and greenhouse. There is a special focus on applied plant science. This covers classic agricultural chemistry, molecular links, genetic engineering, biotechnology, and population genetics. Given this approach, the degree provides students with a deep understanding of material and energy flows in horticultural systems.

Students benefit from the degree program's international strategy and can create an individual competency profile for themselves, thanks to the different areas of specialization on offer at participating institutions of higher education.
