• Public health is an independent, strongly interdisciplinary, empirical science. The focus is not on the individual health of a person, but on the health of a population. Research and teaching in public health deal with the conditions for health and the causes of illness, the interactions between people and their natural, technical and social environments, health promotion and disease management, the services of the health system and the possibilities of politically controlling this system to evaluate and ensure quality.
  • This specialization within the Public Health master's program is geared towards the content and tasks of public administration/self-government and the public health system and the main topics arising in this area. The Health Administration and Management specialization can only be chosen by doctors who attend the medical officer course. 
  • The course deepens subjects that play an important and increasingly important role in healthcare. It imparts theoretical basics, practical skills and competencies for tasks in the field of health sciences, health care and population medicine in research, education, management, administration, politics and industry.
