- Art history encompasses a very wide range of objects, which means that it deals with objects of art from the 6th to the 21st centuries from all countries in Europe, and more recently from non-European countries, taking into account all types of art, i.e. architecture and urban planning, Plastic and painting of all kinds as well as graphics, arts and crafts or modern media such as photography, film, internet art.
- At the same time, the history of art touches on many other subjects and subject areas, such as religion, politics, society, literature, philosophy and others; it allows to get to know historical societies and other cultures. As a subject, she has developed many independent methods in dealing with works of art over the course of her history, be it for formal analysis of stylistic epochs or the contentual interpretation of works of fine art (iconography / iconology).
