• The BA major in Greek Philology starts with the teaching of basic language skills, systematically expands them and aims at a comprehensive analytical-hermeneutic knowledge of literary texts from Greek antiquity to exemplary stations of their reception in antiquity, medieval and modern times. 
  • The students are also familiarized with subject-specific electronic aids (TLG, Perseus/Tufts, other ancient science databases) as well as interdisciplinary research options. 
  • The research and presentation forms trained in the course (portfolio, thesis paper with presentation, homework) can be used in almost every professional field in the broadest sense dealing with information acquisition, processing or mediation,
