• The main focus of the courses is on the use of methods such as geographic information systems (GIS), for the collection, analysis and presentation of geographic data, empirical social research, environmental monitoring and remote sensing. Due to the variety of selectable minor subjects, our students have a relatively individual education compared to other subjects, which enables them to acquire their own profile tailored to the job market.
  • Corresponding additional qualifications such as language and computer skills as well as well-chosen internships during their studies also contribute to the profile building. In addition to very personal qualifications, the chances of geographers to be successful in interdisciplinary competition lie above all in the broad content training.
  • The interdisciplinarity of the subject makes it possible to develop complex and networked thinking and to develop solution strategies for the consequences of global change.
