• The Bachelor Finnougristik is the first step in the training of young scientists. It enables students to pursue a master's degree, which is a prerequisite for a doctorate. 
  • The embedding of the course in general linguistic basic training enables a continuation of the training in adjacent areas of Finno-Ugric studies (Slavic, Northern Studies etc.) with a corresponding minor subject qualification. In addition to academic activities, the degree also serves to qualify for activities that may require Finnish-Ugric language and regional knowledge. 
  • These activities can be seen in a broader context of career opportunities in the humanities (translation, journalism, public relations, cultural management, fundraising.
