• At the University of Kassel, architecture studies have therefore been interdisciplinary from the start. Three courses are combined in one department: architecture, urban planning, and landscape planning. The realization of this nationwide unique approach: Only those who acquire and bring together competencies from all three disciplines can create sustainable architecture that is environmentally and resource-friendly, economically efficient and socially responsible.
  • In the six-semester Bachelor's degree in architecture, basic skills are learned, which are prerequisites for planning and designing. This includes an understanding of spatial thinking and causal relationships, the design of spaces and processes, the use of technical and communicative instruments - be it by hand, computer or model building - as well as the successful presentation of their own work.
