The core content of this research-oriented four-semester study program focuses on the specialization in climate and environmental reconstruction, and in ecosystem research. In addition to extensive theoretical knowledge on climate proxy data and material dynamics in ecosystems, the students, being integrated into current research projects, acquire the skills required for a widely independent planning and implementation of field and laboratory work. Thanks to the state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and innovative range of analytical methods at the Institute of Geography, the graduates are able to apply various laboratory equipment and different analytical methods.
