• This academic programme is based on a holistic understanding of the Iberian and Latin American cultural areas, which include Spain, Portugal, Hispanic America and Brazil. Consequently, the degree programme focusses on these linguistic and cultural interweavings across Ibero-America as well as literary traditions.
  • It is also concerned with contact phenomena that arise within linguistic and cultural regions across territorial, ethnic, political or religious boundaries.  The focus lies on those areas of Hispanic and Lusitanian Literary and Cultural Studies, Linguistics, and Transcultural Studies that share a connection with transcultural contact phenomena in Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula, and between Europe and Latin America.
