This international, integrated Master’s degree draws on the particular strengths of the École du Louvre and Heidelberg University. Students spend the first year of the Master’s degree programme studying museology at the École du Louvre. The course relates strongly to practice and provides students with comprehensive knowledge of cultural heritage, the history of museums and collections, art administration and art law, restauration and conservation, museum education and museology. Students also have frequent opportunities to visit the Louvre and other Parisian museums to analyse and discuss the presentation of artworks.
