• The aim of the master's program is to provide a coherent representation of a media history of language, text, images (and moving images) and sound generation and perception (voices, sounds, music) in connection with their mainly electrical, electronic and digital production and distribution.
  • The focus of the field of activity “media and communication sciences” is the reflection of these connections in theoretical as well as historical dimensions; the point applies to all 'classic' fields of media science, for example, if it takes up and develops the approach of an "integral media history" in an "anthropology of the media".
