The three-semester master's degree in “Automotive Engineering & Management” is offered by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen, which has a high reputation in the automotive sector.

The master’s degree offers a combination of economic and technical content specializing in the automotive sector.

Addressees are lateral thinkers and forward thinkers who want to face the management challenges of the often technology-driven automotive companies. The aim is to train creative generalists who can also manage the transition to electromobility, for example.

Graduates of the course should be qualified for all technical and economic fields of work, e.g.

  • for managerial functions in the cross-sectional areas of planning and controlling or
  • for managerial functions in operational functional areas, e.g. in technical purchasing, in development planning, in planning the commercialization of new products and technologies (e.g. electric vehicles), in logistics planning, in production planning, and in technical marketing.
