The 2-subject Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies guides students to acquire a specialist approach to communicative processes. The course includes basic theoretical, application-oriented and practice-related fields of teaching and learning. The students learn to critically classify knowledge of communication studies and to apply communication-related methods and knowledge in a manner appropriate to the problem.
They understand the communication process as a multimodal and holistically situated event, regardless of whether it takes place in face-to-face situations or using modern communication technologies. Upon completion of their studies, the students have the technical knowledge and methodological skills, which enable them to describe and analyze both the prerequisites and the basic structural and functional features of communicative processes. A practical module enables students to be involved in current application-related research as well as in professional-related problems at an early stage. The practical module also offers the option of crediting an internship.
