Academic Eligibility:

• General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-specific university entrance qualification (not technical college entrance qualification) or aptitude or entrance examination.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following language proficiency criteria:

• The language of instruction at the University of Duisburg-Essen is German (except in the English-language courses). Students must therefore have good German language skills if they want to study successfully. The majority of foreign applicants must pass the "German language test for university entrance" (DSH 2 level; apart from a few exceptions) before starting their studies
  • Educational residents (people who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad) do not require any special proof of German language skills.
  • Citizens of a country outside the EU with a foreign university entrance qualification must pass the "German language test for university entrance" (DSH 2 level) or the TestDaF (TDN 4) before starting their studies.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent certificate to get admission to this program.
