The bachelor's degree in mathematics (which usually lasts three years) introduces the basic structures and techniques of mathematics, from the beginning we also provide perspectives and applications. With exercises in small groups, analytical thinking, abstraction skills, and the ability to structure complex relationships are trained. Our students also learn to work together with others. We recommend the two-year master’s program following the bachelor’s degree.

The course qualifies students for a wide range of activities in which problem-solving skills and interdisciplinary teamwork are required. In addition to classic activities in science, finance, and insurance, new areas of application in simulation, construction, and data analysis are constantly developing. So it is reassuring to know that our graduates find an interesting job very quickly after their studies.

By choosing an application subject, students have the option of taking their own inclinations and future professional interests into account when designing their individual studies. The following application subjects are currently offered in the bachelor's degree in Mathematics:

  • Applied computer science
  • chemistry
  • Electrical engineering
  • Computer science
  • mechanical engineering
  • Modeling and simulation in engineering
  • physics
  • Economics
