One of the five specializations must be chosen right from the start: automation technology, electrical power engineering, technical informatics, micro-and optoelectronics (focus on either "components and technology" or "circuit technology") or communications engineering.

The master's degree deepens the qualifications acquired in the bachelor's degree. It imparts skills for systematic scientific work, in which scientific methods are applied, analyzed, and further developed on complex problems. Depending on the specialization, there is an exemplary focus on one of the application areas.
