In the first three semesters of the full-time course, the fundamentals of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, and information technology that will be required later are taught. This is followed by application-oriented courses that deal with the specific fundamentals of various fields of application (see Fields of Activity / Labor Market) and show examples of applications.

The bachelor's degree is broadly based, with few options, in order to provide sufficient fundamentals for the diverse professional fields of activity and areas of application as well as for a subsequent master’s degree.
