Academic Eligibility:

• General university
• entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-specific university entrance qualification
• You can study without a high school diploma if the applicant proves a special course-related technical aptitude and a general education that meets the requirements of the University of Duisburg-Essen.
• The entrance exam consists of a three-hour exam and an oral exam lasting 30 to 45 minutes. The material includes chemistry as well as the basics of mathematics and physics necessary for studying chemistry and is based on the content of the upper secondary level.

Indian Eligibility:

Indians students are eligible to apply if they meet the following requirements:

• Educational residents (people who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad) do not require any special proof of German language skills.
• Citizens of a country outside the EU with a foreign university entrance qualification must pass the "German language test for university entrance" (DSH 2 level) or the TestDaF (TDN 4) before starting their studies.
