In the new "Bachelor Aquatic Biology" course, students learn how to use modern biological methods for researching biological diversity from the level of genes to ecosystems. In particular, these are methods from aquatic ecology, genomics, molecular biology, bio-, and geoinformatics. You will acquire knowledge of the interrelationships in aquatic ecosystems and their assessment from the perspective of environmental management, environmental ethics, and environmental law. With this comprehensive approach, a general process understanding of complex systems and their management is made possible as early as the Bachelor's degree.
