Academic Eligibility:

• A Bachelor (B.Sc.) or comparable degree in the following disciplines:
  • Physics, BA 
• Studying German in the Master of Education course follows on from a successfully completed B.A. degree in German studies at the Ruhr University or on equivalent degrees.
• The completion of a one-month school orientation internship as well as a one-month professional internship
• Studies in educational sciences with a scope of 9 CP, in which elements about basic educational, development, and socialization theoretical requirements of school education and school lessons as well as professionalization theories and teacher models.
• Studies in "German for students with an immigrant background" or comparable studies amounting to 6 CP.
• Compulsory counseling in both subjects and in educational sciences in accordance with the subject-specific provisions.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Most of the courses at the RUB are held in German. Students must therefore have sufficient knowledge of German and provide evidence by obtaining one of the following language certificates:
  • TestDaF with at least 16 points within an examination
  • DSH (level 2 or 3)
  • German Language Diploma - DSD - II
  • ZOP or Goethe Certificate C2 from the Goethe Institute
  • KDS or GDS from the Goethe Institute
  • ÖSD language diploma C1
  • telc German C1 Hochschule
  • Assessment test (examination part German)
