Academic Eligibility:

• For the study of philosophy, foreign language skills, in particular, are already required in the BA phase knowledge of Latin or Greek, advisable.
• Requirements for admission to the "Masters of Arts" course are also (a) Latinum or (b) Graecum or (c) two modern foreign languages ??and knowledge of Latin.
• Proof of language skills must be provided after the first year of study in the M.A. program at the latest.

Indian Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Most of the courses at the RUB are held in German. Students must therefore have sufficient knowledge of German and provide evidence by obtaining one of the following language certificates:
  • TestDaF with at least 16 points within an examination
  • DSH (level 2 or 3)
  • German Language Diploma - DSD - II
  • ZOP or Goethe Certificate C2 from the Goethe Institute
  • KDS or GDS from the Goethe Institute
  • ÖSD language diploma C1
  • telc German C1 Hochschule
  • Assessment test (examination part German)

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
