This degree program is unique because the subject of history in the Master of Education relies on a meaningful combination of academic and didactic content right from the start and communicates this in a professional-oriented manner.

  • Major epochs - ancient, medieval, and modern times (with subdivision into different sub-areas)   
  • Subject didactics 
  • regional focus (e.g. Eastern Europe, North America, Turkey)   
  • systematic focus (e.g. gender, economy, environment, theory)   
  • History of the Ruhr Area / Social Movements (ISB)   
  • interdisciplinary and international focuses (IDG, MMZ, CERES, gender studies, IDG, etc.)
