The master's program "Biodiversity and Ecology" pursues the goal of training graduates as part of a four-semester in-depth study so that they can largely familiarize themselves independently with a question from research and / or practice and identify and apply suitable scientific methods for processing. This goal is achieved through research-related training. Students experience a broad methodological education, both in theory and in the field, and gain practical experience with a wide range of scientific methods for recording biodiversity, biogeographical patterns on different scales and temporal pattern variations.
