The doctorate is a further qualification in the academic career through a written contribution to progress in science and an oral examination. The written work is supervised by a professor. In some faculties, this individual support is supplemented by a graduate school. In principle, graduates with a good or very good degree can do their doctorate at the master's, master's, diploma or state examination level.
