The institute offers a part-time as well as full-time Diploma in Engineering across five branches, namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates seeking admission into the Diploma in Engineering must have completed their class 10th with a minimum of 35% marks as an aggregate.
Candidates seeking lateral entry into the diploma course must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks as an aggregate.

KJ Somaiya offers a Diploma in Engineering across five branches. The details of each branch of diploma in engineering are given in the following table:

Civil Engineering	The main focus of the course is to impart some technical knowledge, such as drafting, surveying, testing and execution of civil engineering works. The course is being taught from the basic to the core level. Various site/industrial visits, expert lectures, internship opportunities are being conducted by the institute.
Computer Engineering	The students are being taught in various fields of programming, such as web design, database management, software and hardware testing. Provides the students with various other certifications such as Java, Oracle, Hardware Maintenance, etc.
Electrical Engineering	The primary focus of the course is to impart technical knowledge to the students in various fields of utilities such as Machines, Traction, Power Electronics and Drive. Also, it prepares the students to start entrepreneurship ventures in the fields of Renewable Energy, Energy audit and management and Electrical Contracting.
Industrial Electronics	Provides some technical knowledge to the students in the field of analog and digital electronics. Teaches the students about Personal Computer Hardware and Programming.
